Christian Dior as a Brand.




My brand is Dior and in terms of where they sit in the fashion market, that would be in the Luxury Fashion section.

The brand Dior was founded on 16th December 1946 by the fashion designer Christian Dior.

Up to this very day, the company has expanded into the stratosphere, by retailing just about everything in the fashion and beauty world that you could possibly imagine.

As Dior predominantly caters to females, their core brand is their women’s collections. Here is some examples of Dior’s Autumn/Winter 2014-2015 ready-to-wear range, both clothing and accessories for woman.








































































This collection is called City Lights. It revolves itself around the high-flying business woman travelling around the city. Raf Simons wanted to create 'a new vision for the urban experience...' He feels that women have so many opportunities and possibilities, that is what he wanted to portray through their style.

There is a piece from the Christian Dior website, that explains the intriguing thought process behind the new Dior collection. I think the beautiful attention to detail, in the story behind this collection sums up the look perfectly. -

As well as Dior’s large range of ready-to-wear women’s collections. They have also created brand extensions of smaller lines for other clothing categories. Such as: the Dior Homme division for men and baby Dior label for children.





And if their range of clothing catagories was not enough, they offer even MORE brand extensions! Which include: Haute Couture, Leather Goods, Shoes and Accessories. Also beauty brand extensions, including: Fragrance, Make-up and Skincare.
